 Model of North Conway Scenic Railroad’s 7470

 The decals for this restored steam engine as it exists today on a tourist railroad have never been available as a decal set until now.  We here at New England Custom Rail created the custom artwork and this unique decal sheet for this very special piece of historic New England steam. This restored piece of railroad history has been used for over 25 years on the North Conway Scenic Railroad. For the past three years it has been in the shop awaiting repairs and re-certification by the FRA.

A near perfect match for the North Conway engine was produced one time by Van Hobbies of Canada during the early 1970’s. These brass engines are extremely rare and hard to find (especially in original box and foam and like new condition). The model is of the Canadian National Railway’s O-18a class switcher.

The decals can be used on other 0-6-0 steam engines to yield a reasonable approximation of CSRR 7470. If you are lucky enough and can find a Van Hobbies CNR 0-6-0 O-18a unit then you will have an extremely good match for the proto-type. Of course you will need to get the unit custom painted and decaled.
